The company was established in 1998 by Oded and Oren Beckermus, after they became aware of the demand for subcontracting services in microelectronics in Israel.
Microelectronics is a section of electronics that deals with the planning and manufacturing of miniature electronic circuits. Most of the production today is based on components called Die . The separated components go through a process called packaging, which leaves each component packed in a cover made of ceramics , plastic or on an electric circuit.
Beckermus Technologies subcontracts microelectronics assembling of electro-optic components such as photo diodes , laser diodes , CCD , CMOS and more. Micro-mechanical components such as MEMS and MOEMS and electronic components such as controllers , Asics and drivers.

The field of microelectronics demands an understanding and orientation of many topics, including pasting, welding, optic assembling , electronic assembling , optic - electronic assembling , etc.
As an important part of this, Beckermus matches the assembling to the clien's request, including medical implants, tint endoscope cameras installed on the tip of an optic fiber (for internal exams) and more.
The Importance of Experience and Knowledge
Oded Beckermus uses his comprehensive knowledge to give the company a boost forward and makes any impossible task possible – by skillfully guiding the assembling crew. For example, a product of BrainsGate (which became one of the top 100 high-tech companies in Europe, in the first quarter of 2007, according to Red Herring magazine) – a technology to control the transferring of medicine to the brain and to the main nervous system in the brain through an implant in the upper palate. Beckermus pulled through by using all it's resources to make a tiny card to equip the components on and assemble.
Working in clean rooms with Strict regulations
The work in Beckermus is performed by highly skilled professionals, trained in-house for more than four months.
The main device in the manufacturing line is a microscope and the actual manufacturing is done in a clean and sterilized room according to international standard regulation of Iso 14644
In the room there are climate control systems that regulates the air and keep a moisture level of 42%-48% and a constant temperature of 20 Celsius. Additional systems filter the air according to regulations ISO 5 and ISO 6.
These conditions are meant to prevent static electricity in the working area, which could damage the production. The walls are made of materials that do not emit particles that could pollute the miniature components.
The room is cleaned with special products.
The staff is covered top-to-bottom in suits of materials that do not emit particles and use a respiratory machine to prevent contamination.
